Wheatley - Home

Colts U14's 1 Wheatley 1

The U14's became the first team to take points off top of the table Wheatley in a hard fought draw.

Wheatley started the stronger with some neat wing play but Colts held their own. Wheatley pressure payed off and were rewarded with a soft goal(Colts keeper anticipating the ball was going wide only to watch it trickle into the back of the net.

conceding the goal seemed to kick start the Colts & they upped their game putting pressure on the Wheatley back 4.Playing neat passing football Colts were rewarded just before halftime when James Allen jumped on a loose ball to stab home a goal .

1-1 halftime.

The second half saw both midfields trying to take charge limiting both teams to very little chances. Wheatley nearly stole all 3 points when a mistake at the back saw the Wheatley striker 1 on 1 with the keeper but he made up for his earlier mistake with a solid block to deny Wheatley the result.

well done boys on a hard fought draw 5 games unbeaten in the league. Keepit up & prepare yourselfs for next weeks match. Lets turn our oppening game disappointment around you know you can do it.

Littlemore-Home

Colts 14 - Littlemore 0

The U14's recorded their biggest win under my management in a one sided contest against Littlemore to make it 4 games unbeaten in a row in the league & a 2nd consecutive clean sheet. There were 9 different goalscorers in the match demenstrating the depth of the ability throughout the squad. Colts stamped their footballing authority on the game from the start & cruised into the break 6 nil up without their goal being really threatened.

5 changes were made at the break to allow all players to play & the U14's carried on were they left off after the break playing probably some of their best football of the season. 8 goals in the 2nd half capped a record breaking performance with the highlight of the game being right back Aaron Bishop fantastic left footed finish.

Well done to all the boys on a wonderful performance but stay focused for next weeks big game.

Sandhills-Away

Sandhills 0 - Colts 5

The under 14's made it 3 games in a row undefeatedin the league as they cruised past sandhills in a 1 sided contest. Colts played sum sublime football for most of the game but at times got drawn in to the kick & rush tactics that Sandhills played. Colts were 3 up at half time although it should of been more. 2 quality strikes that would of graced any premiership side in the 2nd half sealed the points.
